Impact Fund for Reporting on Health Equity and Health Systems

The Impact Fund for Reporting on Health Equity and Health Systems supports ambitious investigative or explanatory projects on inequities in public health, health care policy and the practice of medicine.

Grantees receive:

  • A grant to help with reporting costs
  • Five months of professional mentorship from a veteran journalist
  • Monthly online development and brainstorming sessions with other reporters in their class
  • Four webinars devoted to health equity in health systems

Journalists can play an important role in highlighting systemic and structural forces and how they impact individuals, families and communities. This Fund supports journalism that calls attention to chronic inequities in public health and health care systems and offers up paths for change.
