Journalists are invited to apply and join a cross-border newsroom to cover the first ever “International Conference for the Just Transition Away from Fossil Fuels” in Santa Marta, Colombia,on 27-29 April 2026.

The conference is co-organized by the governments of Colombia and the Netherlands and forms a political platform for a “coalition of the willing” – those who want to move faster away from fossil fuels.

Five selected journalists will get their travel and accommodation covered, and get a chance to collaborate with colleagues from around the world to cover the global move away from fossil fuels.

🌎 This is a global opportunity, but journalists from Iceland, Spain, Chile, Mexico, Fiji, the Marshall Islands, St Lucia, Barbados, Kenya, Ghana, Nepal and Bangladesh are strongly encouraged to apply.
