The ACES Education Fund is offering a $1,000 travel stipend to support editors who want to attend ACES 2026: Atlanta (April 23–25) and who are currently experiencing financial hardship.

If you are an ACES member who has recently been laid off, is between jobs, or is otherwise in a forced transition, we want to help you stay connected to the editing community and continue building your skills and professional network.

Two stipends will be awarded.

The $1,000 stipend is intended to help with:

• Conference registration
• Travel expenses
• Lodging and related costs

Funds will be distributed in advance to assist with planning and expenses.

ACES members who are:

• Recently unemployed
• In a forced career transition
• Financially strained and seeking support
• Actively job hunting or temporarily freelancing
