Apply for a fellowship to attend the program “American Healthcare: It’s becoming less affordable, but will AI help improve the outcomes?” in Philadelphia, May 6-9, 2026. Journalists chosen to be a Fellow will attend sessions covering topics about AI at the bedside: Real or rhetoric and Follow the money: Understanding AI profit in health care. In addition, fellows will have the opportunity to attend other health care and business sessions during the 2026 SABEW Conference, as well as participate in networking opportunities.

Thursday morning, May 7, the fellows will take part in a field trip and then enjoy a welcome & networking lunch upon their return to the hotel. Health care sessions will take place throughout the 2026 SABEW conference, which runs Thursday afternoon, May 7, through Saturday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m. Fellows, except those local to Philadelphia, will be provided three nights of lodging at the DoubleTree Philadelphia Center City. Small travel stipends may be available for those not local to the area.
